Sprague/Lamont will seek merger with Lind/Ritzville

Sprague and Lamont School districts Monday night decided to open negotiations with Lind/Ritzville about a possible merger of the sports programs in the four schools. The decision was made after a community meeting in the multi-purpose room at Sprague.

Sprague Board Chairman Doug Shields said the Sprague/Lamont boards decided to approach Lind/Ritzville after a poll of the two communities showed most respondents favored a move in that direction.
