Campbell serves in Haiti

Brandi L. Campbell, daughter of Charles D. Campbell of Colfax, participated in the U.S. Navy relief mission to Haiti after the Caribbean country was hit by the Jan. 12 earthquake. Campbell serves aboard the USS Bataan as a third class petty officer. The Bataan arrived in the Port-au-Prince area Jan. 19 and began unloading supplies, including beach clearing equipment, bulldozers and rubble removers. They began their Sailors Ashore Mission in Grand Goave, Haiti.
