Rosalia names 2010 royalty

With a theme of “All Aboard” the Miss Rosalia pageant arrived at the Rosalia High School station Saturday. Coordinators Tara Pittmann, Kellie Kiesz and Dorinda Merritt directed Rosalia High Juniors Mattie Eberle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mathew Eberle; Kaileigh Wendt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Wendt; Lucy Irish, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Del Irish; Hailee Danilson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Danilson and Mickenzie Bryan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Josh Bryan. all of Rosalia.

Miss Rosalia for 2010 will be Mattie Eberle with Kaileigh Wendt first princess and Lucy Irish second princess. Lucy Irish was named Miss Congeniality, and Hailee Danilson, won the ticket sales competition.

For talent presentations, Mattie Eberle presented a monologue, “Are You My Mother” and Kaileigh Wendt gave a monologue, “I’m a Dirt Bike Addict.”

Lucy Irish performed a modern jazz dance which she choreographed, and Hailee Danilson played the Titanic theme on the violin accompanied by Kim Mills.

Mickenzie Bryan recited a poem, “Joy of Cooking.”

Rosalia 2009 Queen Katelyn Maley and Princess Samantha Wilson gave their final walk and final speeches. Collin Pittmann accompanied on the piano. Katelyn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brad Maley, and Samantha is the daughter of Zane Terry and Melissa Wilson.

The After School Choir, directed by Kim Mills sang “Walk a Little Slower my Friend” and “She Sings.” Performing were Collin Pittmann, Daphne Jacobs, Jillian Bruce, Sydney Van Dyke and Logan Dempsey. (Choir member Eddy Frick was unable to attend).

A new portion of the pageant was the introduction and presentation by sophomore sisters Emilee Danilson, Josie Daniels, Lynsey Eberle, Kelsey Lindhag and Kristin Paulson who supported and assisted the entrants. They sang “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad.”

Guest Emcee was Quinn Lautenslager, a senior at Rosalia High School.

Rosalia Chamber of Commerce and many others supported the program.

A reception hosted by the Rosalia Gifted Grannies followed the program.

Year-end awards were presented at the Spartan basketball banquet
