Schultz duo marks gold date

Ed Schultz and Mae Bontadelli were married April 2, 1960, at the First Baptist Church in Colfax.

They will celebrate the anniversary with a family dinner at Hill-Ray for family members.

After graduating from the U of I in forestry, Ed served in the military for two years, then went to work for the US Forest Service.

They lived in several different places in the United States.

Mae, who attended Business School in Spokane, put her skills to use in different jobs where they lived.

He retired after 35 years of service and they returned to the family farm in 2001 after remodeling the home.

Joining them for the occasion and the week are their two daughters and families; Patti, Roger and Brooke Loftis from Leesburg, Va., and Leanne, John, Evan and Carter Marten from Warren, Pa.
