Students compete in class skills at Jennings

Students from nine school districts rolled to Colfax last Wednesday for the annual Whitman County speech, spelling, geography and math competition at Jennings. The students competed in their individual events, and awards were presented by JES Principal Tom Arlt. Judging was done by volunteers. Competition was among fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grade entrants selected from each school.
