Bravard, Stevenson bag medals

Colfax golfers earned a pair of medals in their first week of competition.

Caleb Bravard carded a one-under-par 35 on the Harrington course March 23 to grab top individual honors in a match with Davenport, Cusick and Inchelium.

Bulldog teammates Kyle Johnson and Tyler Stevenson finished second and third, with scores of 38 and 39. Cory Maltone finished fifth with a 46.

The strong showing earned Colfax the team title with 214 strokes, 42 swings ahead of second place Inchelium.

Tyler Stevenson nabbed the medal March 19 at Ritzville after shooting a two-over-par 37 on the nine-hole course.

Colfax coach Chris Gorton said his full boys team took top team honors, besting second-place Lind/Ritzville by 16.

The Bulldogs travel to Wilbur Monday for their next match.
