St. John-Endicott, Colton, LaCrosse-Washtucna win

ST. JOHN/ENDICOTT girls rolled to Asotin Thursday and took two wins over the Panthers, 15-3 and 19-6.

In the first game all 15 runs came in the last two innings to rub out a 1-0 Panther lead. Trisha Luft led the six-hit Eagle attack with two raps, including a homer.

In the second game, the Eagles scored eight in the first inning and totaled eight hits. Gretchen VanLith pitched a five-hitter in taking the win.

Alli Winters had three hits with a double; Luft doubled and Gretchen VanLith added two hits.

Kelli VanLith pitched the first game and Gretchen VanLith pitched the second game.

LACROSSE/WASHTUCNA pegged a 17-2 road win over Othello JVs Thursday with sophomore Taylor Burke going to the mound for the first time. She held the Jr. O’s on one hit, walked just three and fanned three.

The Tigercats stacked 11 hits and took off on the bases. Gladys Martinez had a 3-4 day at the plate with three RBIs, and Burke also hit 3-4 with two RBIs. Eighth grader Katie Whinnery booked her first RBI hit.

COLTON girls hammered Genesee 20-5 in a non-leaguer last Wednesday with 20 hits. Kelsey Moser was credited with four hits, a triple and three doubles, and Haley Moser had three hits with a double and six RBIs.

Kelsey Moser held the Bulldogs to three hits, and the Bulldogs had five RBIs.

GARFIELD/PALOUSE took two loses at DeSales last Thursday. The Vikings bowed 7-5 in the first game after pegging an early lead with four runs in the third inning. The Irish began to close the gap and took the lead with two runs in the fifth.

Emily Witthuhn and McKenzie McClanahan each had two hits with McClanahan tagging a double. Breanna Bielenberg, Michaila Martin and Nyna Van Harn had the other hits.

DeSales pegged a 10-0 win in the second game which closed down after six frames.

Emily Witthuhn pitched both games for the Vikes who are now 2-3 overall.
