Four bridge projects on county work list

Whitman County commissioners Monday approved a plan to replace four bridges this year. Work will be done by county crews.

The Curtis Bridge on Elberton Road, Canyon Bridge on Mulkey Road south of St. John, Ringo Bridge on Ringo Road south of Palouse and the Ben Henson Bridge on Country Club Road southwest of Pullman will be replaced.

Public Works Director Mark Storey reported Randy Black, long-time county bridge superintendent, is scheduled to retire in May after 32 years with the department.
