St. John/Endicott girls Tuesday pegged a 13-1 win over the GP Vikings at Garfield to advance their softball record to 5-1 on the still new season. Kelly Van Lith threw a one-hitter at the Vikings.
The Eagles scored seven runs in the sixth inning to put the game over the 10-run mark. Carmen Lust, Alli Winters and Dusty Bafus had hits in the charge.
Van Lith struck out eight and walked six in taking the win.
Emily Witthuhn struck out seven and walked eight in taking the loss for the Vikes. Terrie Taylor had the lone Viking hit.
At Colton, Tekoa/Oakesdale/Rosalia and the Wildcats locked up in a 0-0 game until Colton broke out four three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Kelsey Moser fanned 14 and allowed four hits in taking the Wildcat win. The TOR guests had four errors.
Colton is now 4-3.
LaCrosse/Washtucna sustained two defeats at Davenport Tuesday. The Gorilla girls prevailed 12-2 and 14-3.
Errors took a big toll on the young Tigercats team. The booked seven in each game.
Kirsten Stubbs pegged and RBI double in the first game and an RBI triple in the second game.
Now 2-2, the Tigercats will host SJE at Washtucna Saturday.
