Colfax band earns Jazz Unlimited trophy

Colfax High School Jazz Band members and director Mike Morgan await the signal from judges before playing their three numbers Saturday for Jazz Unlimited at Columbia Basin College in Pasco. The band placed second in the AA division. This was the fifth year in a row the band has trophied at the festival. The Hanford II band was the division winner. The festival includes bands from B to 4A classifications. Director Morgan said the band will now prepare for their May 8 entry in the Mt. Hood festival in Oregon....
