Two Colfax intermediate Future Problem Solvers teams have qualified for the international competition after placing first and second in the intermediate division at state. They were among eight Colfax teams to compete Wednesday to Friday at the Warm Beach Conference Center in Stanwood, according to Emily Jones, FPS advisor.
First place in the intermediate division went to ninth graders Hannah Knaack, Lindsay Webber, Josh Huber and Amelie Bruya. Second place went to a team made up of Jenna Metzer, eighth grader; Casey Johnson and Katherine Woodhouse, seventh graders.
They will compete in FPS international competition in June at LaCrosse, Wis.
