Correction: Add Tekoa to achievement list

Tekoa High School was also recognized with a Washington Achievement Award for its excellence in its gifted education program.

Last week’s Gazette article about area schools that earned the awards overlooked Tekoa on the listing of award winners.

The award spotlights schools which have closed the “achievement gap,” which state school officials define as the problem in ensuring students from low-income families perform as well as their peers.
