Tapestry concert tour to be Forreys’ farewell

Tapestry Women’s Choir will open its spring concert series in Colfax at the United Methodist Church Monday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. The theme of the concert is “Freedom” and features songs of freedom from around the world.

These concerts will be bittersweet for the choir because the founder and director Dale Forrey has accepted a job in Olympia and will be leaving Tapestry at the end of this concert series. Now in its 11th year, Tapestry includes 22 voices from Colfax, Pullman and other towns in the area. Tapestry will also sing concerts in Pullman, May 4, Moscow, May 7 and at Tekoa’s Empire Theater May 8.
