Defense attorney John Synder, Deputy Prosecutor Dan LeBeau, and District Court Judge Doug Robinson were among 29 professionals, representing 16 different fields at Garfield-Palouse Middle School’s annual “Career Day” April 22.
The professions included the fields chosen by the students during the planning stages.
Each student was able to attend three different sessions.
Other professional participants included Sam Gregg, architect; Paula Echanove and Joan Swenson, restauranteers; Palouse Mayor Michael Echanove, computer specialist; Ken Renstrom, general contractor; Sandra Schorzman, nurse; Robert Lopez, electrical engineer; Marv Pillers and Sherrif Scott Ellsworth, EMT/EMS; Hollis Jamison and Janiece Anderson, farmers; Darin Watkins, journalist; Kim Kopf, Sherri Aune and Jalayna Watkins, juvenile services; Officer Joe Merry, police; Dave Woodall, fish and wildlife; Bob Brown, forestry; Adm.
John Love (ret.), Major Edward Gomez, Lt.
Wesley Brockman and Capt.
Paul Brewer, military service; Dennis Griner, high school teacher; Marcia McCracken, elementary teacher, and Dr.
Andra Edwards and Amy Browse, veterinarians.
