St. John/Endicott and Colton booked a split Tuesday at Endicott in a doubleheader. The Wildcats rolled to Colton to make up a Satruday double which was cancelled.
LaCrosse/Washtuna Tigercats booked a split Tuesday on the road at Pomeroy.
COLTON Tuesday took the first game at Endicott 17-3 with a 14-hit attack while Wildcat pitcher Chase Druffel held the Eagles to just five hits.
The Eagles used five pitchers with Ben Harrison, Bryce Bennett, Dallas Schlenegker and Miguel Rice all attempting to shut down the Colton bats.
ST. JOHN/ENDICOTT and Colton went into an extra eighth inning in the second game at Endicott and the Eagles booked the decider run in the top of the inning. Final score was 5-4.
Trevor Johnson got on base with a dropped third strike and Dakota Hallenius picked up the RBI hit for a walkoff win. Hallenous was the lone Eagle to get two hits for the game. They totaled 10.
The Eagles scored two runs in the seventh to tie the game at 4-4 and set up the extra inning. Johnson clubbed a solo homer, and Kyle Raynor got on base with an error and later broke for the plate on a wild pitch.
Colton in their side of the seventh had two runners on the bases but couldn’t score.
Mason Van Lith held the Wildcats to five hits to get the win. Bricyn Abdul pitched the first seven innings for the Wildcats and Jose Straughan pitched the extra inning.
LaCROSSE/WASHTUCNA booked a split at Pomeroy Tuesday. The Pirates cooked a 24-11 win in the first game. They scored 12 runs in the third inning. Darcy Stamper had four of the 10 Tigercats hits in the first game, and Aaron Cochrane and Jared Stark each had two hits.
LaCrosse/Washtucna broke out for a 19-11 win in the second game with Jed Zimmer throwing a six hitter at the Pirates. The T-cats led 13-3 after three innings and capped it with six more runs in the last inning.
Zimmer had two hits with a triple. Stamper, Adam Cochrane and Daneil Aegenroost each added two hits for LW.
GARFIELD/PALOUSE traveled to Richland Tuesday and sustained two losses. Liberty Christain prevailed 6-2 and 8-7. The Vikings booked just two hits off Pats’ starter Mike Groth in the first game. The Pats had just four hits off Viking pitchers Taylor Christopher and Wilson Allen.
In the second game, the Vikings took a 7-5 lead into the last inning, but the Pats scored three in the last-chance seventh for the one-run win. Groth was credited with the walk-off RBI.
Saturday the Vikings lost both sides of a doubleheader on the road at Waitsburg/Prescott. The Cardinals took the first game 5-2 after they scored all of their runs in the first two innings.
The Vikings were held to just three hits and the Cards had four hits off Christopher.
The hosts pounded out 10 hits in the second game on the way to an 11-1 win. Slocum and Allen pitched for the Vikings.
TEKOA/OAKESDALE hammered Datyon 11-1 in both games Saturday. Brandon Hovde allowed just one hit in the first game while the Spartans stacked up 14 hits. Hovde helped his own cause with a double and Will Dedic doubled and tripled.
In the scond game Dedic threw a no-hitter at the Cardinals, and topped another 14-hit with a homer.
