Whitworth 50th unites Colfax Pirates

Sunday’s 50-year anniversary observance of the 1960 Whitworth baseball team that won the NAIA championship brought together two Pirate ball players from Colfax. Don Cox, retired Colfax superintendent and legislator, played second base on the Pirates’ 1960 championship team. He met up with Nathan Johnson, a Whitworth junior who plays infield and pitches for the Pirates. Johnson is the son of Mark and Robyn Johnson of Colfax.
