Pete Hertz to join planning panel

Palouse resident Pete Hertz was appointed to a seat on Whitman County’s planning commission Monday morning by county commissioners. Hertz will fill out the remainder of an empty seat representing commissioner district 2, which covers the north and east regions of the county. Hertz’ appointment leaves just one vacant seat on the planning commission. That position is for district 3.
