LaCrosse FFA wins Seabeck Award

LaCrosse FFA members did very well at the recent Junior Livestock Show in Spokane. The LaCrosse Chapter was awarded the Jim Seabeck Award for Outstanding FFA Chapter. Members include Jake Aune, Caleb Hannas, Lane Hannas, Kirsten Stubbs, Matt Stubbs and Austin Summers.

Junior/Senior FFA Steer Fitting and Showing Champion was awarded to Caleb Hannas and FFA Reserve Champion Market Steer awarded to Jake Aune.

Services for Robert Schweiger will be at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in LaCrosse on Saturday, May 15. A luncheon will immediately follow the service.

There will be a community cleanup work day at the store Saturday, May 15, beginning at 9 a.m. Any community volunteers are welcome.

Lacrosse Community Pride is sponsoring a Picnic Dinner and Comedy show on Saturday, May 22. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. with show to follow. Tickets can be purchased at the Bank of Whitman or from any board member. All proceeds will go toward the repair of the store building.
