Dusty residents travel to Portland

Art and Colene Sager flew to Hood River, Ore., for the weekend for the Flying Farmers Tri-State Convention. Saturday evening, they were treated to a dinner train ride. Sunday, they flew to Spokane to help their granddaughter Hannah Manning celebrate her 12th birthday. Other guests included Hannah’s immediate family, her other grandparents and aunts and uncles from both her maternal and paternal sides of the family.

David and Phyllis Stueckle spent Mother’s Day in Portland with their daughter and family, Karen and Larry Light and children. They traveled on to Seaside, Ore., or a few days vacation before returning home Friday.

Dianne Appel attended the Washington State FFA Convention in Pullman May 13 - 15 with the Colfax FFA chapter.

Approximately 50 people attended the 75th anniversary dinner of the Dusty Farm Co-op last Tuesday. Eric Appel was re-elected to the board.

Vicki Broeckel’s oil paintings are showing at the new Dodson’s Jewelry Store Art Gallery on Riverside in Spokane. Her works were part of the opening of the gallery for Spokane’s First Fridays for 2010. They will be shown during May.

Lucky, Joan and Rob Myrick went to Tacoma last Friday to get an engine for Lucky’s boat. They spent part of their visit with Wally Erdahl and also with their son Mike Myrick and his friend Krissy. They returned home Saturday.

Saturday, Kim and Cindy Pitts and Norm Bafus were in Spokane to celebrate the third birthday of Rafe Carlson. Also present were Rafe’s parents Amanda and Erik and brother Tate.
