LaCrosse gets ready for mud racing

Lacrosse May 29 and 30 will host mud racing once again in its new expanded location. McGregor Company donated use of their land just west of LaCrosse. Two full days of action packed mud bog racing for trucks and ATV’s.

New this year is mud drag racing. Participants are welcome with classifications from stock to pro’s. Entry fee is $20. Spectator admission is $3 for the full day, with lots of action, fun and events going on all day.

All proceeds go towards the Richard L Roberts Memorial Scholarship. For more information:

Megan Doering was recently honored at a bridal shower at Selbu Lutheran Church. The guests were welcomed by Sharon Schlomer. Special guests at the shower were Sue and Kinsey Doering, Colfax, and Connie Dorman, LaCrosse. Hostesses were Peggy Bryan, Barb Mays, Arlene Gordon, Sharon Schlomer, Jan Smith, Lynn Wargo and Cindy Wigen. Megan is the bride-elect of Michael Dorman.

Michael and Megan were also honored at a couples shower at the home of Mark and Robyn Johnson, Colfax. Hosting the party were Mark and Robyn Johnson, Jim and Sandy Heilsberg, Jacob and Angela Anderson, and Kyle and Heather York. Michael and Megan will be married June 19 in Pullman.

The work day last Saturday at the former Lacrosse Market building was a success with many residents rolling up their sleeves and digging in. Lunch for the volunteers was donated by Julie Roberts. Another work day will be scheduled soon.
