Oakesdale penny drive tally $115

Grade school students in Oakesdale set a goal of $50 and collected more than $80 for the library penny drive. Librarian Michele Wright will host a reward pizza party at the end of the school year. Oakesdale Library received about $115 in total donations. The donations help cover the cost of Summer Reading, Storytime and other children’s programs.

“Make a Splash, Read!” summer reading will begin at the Oakesdale Library June 16 at 12:30 and will continue every Wednesday for six weeks during the summer.

A summer reading kickoff event will be at the Oakesdale School Thursday, May 19, at 8:30 a.m. with a bubble show.
