Dusty duo follows state finals

Steve and Carol Moore attended the state track meet in Cheney Friday and the girls’ state softball tournament in Yakima Saturday. Their son David, along with Stetson Steiger, was part of the Colfax’s 4 X 100 relay team. Their daughter Lauren played on Colfax’s softball team.

Mike and Michelle Carver, Spokane, spent the weekend with her parents, Dale and Vicki Broeckel.

Denise Kendall, Tacoma, spent an extended Memorial Day weekend with her father, Oscar Broeckel.

Friday, Norm Erickson attended the Moody Institute aviation graduate commissioning service. Two of his nephews, Lance and Jay Erickson, were part of the graduating class. They are sons of Cam and Barb Erickson of Lynnwood.

They are training to become missionary pilots. This summer they will take a six-week course to become certified flight instructors.

Monday, June 7, volunteers are asked to meet at 8 a.m. at the Dusty Cemetery to help remove the Memorial Day bouquets. Those who left potted flowers they’d like to keep are asked to pick them up prior to that time.
