Samantha Anneil Bafus, daughter of Bob and Leanne Bafus, was named valedictorian for LaCrosse High School with a 3.92 grade point average.
Samantha has been the co-coordinator for the American Heart Association’s Jump Rope for Heart for the past four years.
She began and led a local chapter of Girl Talk for the past two years.
She is co-editor for the school publications.
She has served as ASB and National Honor Society treasurer and senior class president.
She will be attend the University of Idaho.
Co-salutatorians for the class are Kirsten Paige Stubbs, daughter of Mike and Tami Stubbs, and Della Ruth Fleming, daughter of Darrin and RaeAnn Fleming, with 3.80 grade averages.
Kirsten participated in volleyball, basketball and softball the past four years.
She has been involved in many clubs and is currently serving as class secretary/treasurer.
She has been FFA president and National Honor Society secretary the past two years.
Kirsten will attend Washington State University this fall and major in viticulture and enology.
Della participated in volleyball, basketball and track for the past four years.
She is ASB Vice President and National Honor Society president.
She is involved in FCA and was named Inland Empire Athlete of the Month.
She was named 2009 LaCrosse Female Athlete of the Year.
Della will attend Central Washington University this fall to pursue a career in chiropractic.
