Desiree Chappell, daughter of Rick and Dawna Chappell, is the valedictorian for Oakesdale High School with a 3.948 grade average.
Desiree lettered in volleyball, basketball and track during high school.
She was named to all county teams in volleyball and basketball and was named honorable mention for the state volleyball team.
She has also been active in student government and held many class offices.
Desiree was a member of the drama cast and National Honor Society.
She has been a 10- year 4H member.
She plans to major in architecture and minor in interior design during her college studies.
Drake Hinkins, son of Doug and Diane Hinkins, and Alisa Jones, daughter of Dave and Melody Jones, are co-salutatorians for the Oakesdale class.
Drake has been ASB president for two years and National Honor Society president his senior year.
He also participated in Knowledge Bowl, Vacation Bible School and Oakesdale Computer Services.
Drake participated in cross country with Colfax and St. John, basketball and track.
He will attend honors college at Washington State University next fall and major in biochemistry.
Alisa, who came to Oakesdale for her senior year, is vice-president of the senior class and participated in Drama, Knowledge Bowl, and National Honor Society.
She played basketball, and varsity softball.
Alisa was active in 4H and was a medalist at MusicFest Northwest for two years.
Alisa plans to attend the University of Idaho and study music composition.
