The Whitman County Planning Office issued a Mitigated Determination of Nonsignificance (M-DNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (Chapter 197-11 WAC) for the following project:

Colfax Grange proposes a zone change from Agricultural District to Heavy Commercial District for 8 acres of property located just on the west edge of Colfax, WA on SR 26 in the SE 1/4 of Section 10, Township 16 N., Range 43 E. W.M., Whitman County, Washington. This zone change would apply to existing and future planned activities.
After review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file, the Planning Office has determined that this proposal will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment.
A public hearing on this zone change request will be held during a Whitman County Planning Commission meeting on Wednesday July 7, 2010 in the Auditorium, first floor of the Whitman County Public Service Building, at 7:00 PM, N. 310 Main St., Colfax, WA.
