Coaching at Gilchrist Pond

Nine-year-old Varun Iyer of Pullman picked up a few helpful tips from Penny Gilchrist during Saturday’s fishing derby for kids at the Gilchrist Pond on Union Flat. Varun’s dad, Suresh, also provided a little coaching. Varun landed his first fish just before their time slot at the pond expired.
