Direct seed tour set in Asotin county

A tour of direct seed operations in Asotin County will be next Wednesday, June 23. The tour is sponsored by the Palouse Direct Seeders, Clearwater Direct Seeders, WSU and UI extensions and the Pacific Northwest Direct Seeders.

The tour will include direct seeders from Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Stops will be made at the farms of Tom Petty, Mark Green and Brit Ausmun.

Registration deadline is Saturday. The tour bus will leave the Lewiston Red Lion at 10 a.m., and lunch will be provided at the Petty farm. There is no cost for the tour.
