Draft for LaCrosse store PDA faces another

One more review of the proposal for a Public Development Authority at LaCrosse will be in the works before the measure is expected to go up for a vote by the LaCrosse City Council. The decision came after council members June 10 received a report of revisions to the proposal which have been made by City Attorney Brian Werst of Spokane.

The PDA petition has been filed by LaCrosse Community Pride, a group which is working to return a grocery story to LaCrosse. The town has been without a store since February of last year when long-time proprietor Jerry Chastain closed down the store. In addition...
