G.A. Perry of Palouse joins WWII honor flight

G.A. Perry, long-time resident of Palouse, was among World War II vets from Spokane who departed June 11 for an honor flight to Washington, D.C. to see the new World War II Memorial.

“We were treated like royalty,” Perry said.

The group arrived in Baltimore where they were greeted by a crowd of well wishers. The next morning they left in busses for the capital.

First they arrived in Arlington Cemetery, where they saw the unknown soldier’s grave. Next they visited the new WWII Memorial.
