Kathy Shields, Joy Davis-Franklin, Tom Davis and Louise Belsby met for lunch Wednesday, June 16, at Willow Springs in Cheney. Louise is vice president of the Pine City Historical Society and was meeting with Joy and Tom to receive several items Joy and Tom are donating to the society. They are descendants of Pine City pioneers.
Sprague-Lamont Red Hat ladies drove to Spokane June 16 to tour the Campbell House, MAC Museum and have lunch at the D’Zaar Restaurant inside the MAC. Nita Polda, Pat Peterson, Nita Vold, Aneta Frederick, Kay Dirks and Mary Anderson attended.
Tim Polda and his daughter, Tori of Friday Harbor, arrived Friday at the home of Nita and Matt Polda. Tim came to attend the memorial service at the Sprague St. John’s Lutheran Church for Walter Graham. They returned home on Monday.
Kaye Bailey watched her granddaughter, 8-year-old Bailey Cate, perform in the jazz dance recital June 12 at the Ferris school auditorium. On June 19 she watched another granddaughter, 13-year-old Sarah Gant, dance in a recital at the Spokane Opera House. She danced one ballet number, one tap and two jazz numbers. On Saturday her grandson, Zachary Gant, arrived to help Kaye for a few days.
Betty Stone’s Aunt Lu Rasmussen of Walla Walla spent the weekend. On Sunday Betty drove Lu to visit her brother, Jim Cornmesser, before she returns home later in the week.
