Although they were high school sweethearts, Margaret and Pete Leonard didn’t marry until they met again at their 30-year high school reunion.

When they graduated from Bonner’s Ferry High School in 1968, the Vietnam War was in full swing. Pete joined the Marines and served two and a half years in Vietnam. Margaret went to the University of Idaho.

Margaret then lived in California for 18 years, raised a family, worked for a newspaper, real estate firm and United Airlines.
