Cougars drop pair to Cheney in night debut

Whitman Cougars played for the first time under the new McDonald Field lights Tuesday with the second game of a double header stretching to the 10 p.m. mark. The visiting Cheney team took both sides of the double to drop the Cougs’ league record to 3-3.

The Cougars were set to travel to Freeman for a single game Wednesday and then host Pullman Posse today in an all-county matchup. Whitman will be the host club, but the game will be played at Colton because the Senior Legion Summer Series will crank up at McDonald tonight.
