My two cents - Church ministry for Lind youths includes annual Coaster Car races

After weeks of practice runs and car checks, Lind's junior racers go off the line on Smart's Hill with gravity providing the power. Most of the coaster car derby fans put up their lawn chairs in the shade next to the elementary school to watch the action. Race volunteers place hay bales at the bottom of the course to stop cars in the event their brakes fail, and the Adams County Sheriff loans their radar reader box so drivers get a solid read on their speed.
