Guests at the home of Dick and Helen Appel to attend Peter Appel’s wedding included Deb, Bob, Jessica, Alissa and Scott Stavig of Brush Prairie. Visitors June 20 were 2nd Lt. Jim Appel, Korea, and his friend Katie; Caroline, Ellie and Lucien Kunkel, Pullman, and the Stavigs. Guests on Father’s Day were Neil Appel, Josh, Noemie and Isaac Appel, Dusty, and Susan Appel and Joe Lynch, Pullman. They also celebrated Neil’s birthday.
Wes and Jen Claassen and family and her parents, Don and Kay Stinson of Branson, Mo., took an Alaskan cruise with 20 relatives June 19-26 to celebrate the Stinson’s 50th wedding anniversary. The Stinson’s arrived at the Claassen’s June 17 and will return to their home today, July 1.
Saturday, the Haugness cousins had their annual reunion at the Luthern Senior Center in Richland, hosted by Dave and Elaine Stueckle Hogan. About 11 cousins attended the event including Norm and Gloria Erickson, Gracia Stueckle and Linda Hennigar.
Jen, Mashayla and Quincy Morris attended the Perry family (Grandma Joyce Appel’s family) reunion at the home of John Appel in Pomeroy. About 15 people were in attendance.
Lucky and Joan Brink Myrick celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday afternoon at the home of her brother, Larry and Di Brink. About 50 people came to extend their congratulations including the Myricks’ children, Mike Myrick of Spanaway and Christy Wood of Chehalis, Rich Myrick and Janetta Johnson of Moses Lake, Rob Myrick of Dusty and granddaughter Desiree’ Myrick of Colfax, Ivan and Mary Lou Hale of Eatonville, Bill and Delores Jarvis of Graham, Nancy Carlson of Edgewood, Cliff and Deb Zeller of Weston, Ore., and Marge, Linda, Steve and Becky Brink of Palouse.
Surprise guests were Joan Baken Hattemer, Edwall, Jean McWhirter Oxreiter, Liberty Lake and Janet Wesselman Parker, Spokane, former classmates of Joan’s from LaCrosse High School. The Hales and Carlson spent the weekend with the Myricks.
Jon and Li and Tina Ochs hosted the Callison family (Helen Ochs family) for reunion last weekend. More than 50 people attended from Colorado, Florida, British Columbia, Brazil, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Oakland, Olympia, Palouse and Dusty. Some stayed in Palouse at Tina’s house, and some stayed in Dusty at Eureka Farm, filing both houses and the yard, the Parsonage and the Vogler Cottage.
Activities included a picnic at Palouse Falls, Bocce at Palouse at the family home, more Bocce and Croquette at the farm as well as fireworks, campfires and lots of good eating and visiting. A memorial was held for Jim Callison from San Francisco and for Bill Callison of Oakland.
Reunion guests were fed meals organized and prepared by Tina Ochs, her daughter Shandra, and husband James of Palouse.
