Cougars play first game under McD lights tonight

Whitman Cougars, who pegged a 1-3 record on the road last weeks, will get their first start under the new lights at McDonald Field tonight, Thursday, at 7:45. The Cougars will be among 15 teams playing in the Junior Legion edition of the Palouse Summer Series.

The Cougars are slated to open the series Thursday at 1 p.m. on Bailey-Brayton field and then play the night game in Colfax. Friday they will be back at McDonald at 5 p.m. and then at Bailey/Brayton at 8:30.

The series will wrap up with semi-final and championship games Saturday before the Fourth of July.
