A new farmer’s market opens in Colfax tomorrow, July 23, at Eells park from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Vendors will sell fresh vegetables, plants and crafts. Buyers can browse through an assortment of locally grown raspberries, tomatoes and other vegetables.
Colfax mayor Norma Becker will be throwing the first honorary tomato to kick off the event, according to Karen Swoope, organizer of the market.
“She’ll throw the first pitch, but it’s a tomato, not a baseball,” she said.
Vendors must pre-register by calling Swoope in Colfax. Home-cooked products or eggs cannot be sold at the market...
