Serving Whitman County since 1877
Eighty children and adults attended the last summer reading program at the St. John Library. This year they library set new records with a total attendance of 422 at the six programs. Seventy-nine children who read 10 hours or 10 books received a bag full of prizes and their choice of books to take home for their personal library. Librarian Clancy Pool commended businesses of St. John for their support. Children who couldn’t make it to the last program should pick up their prizes before school starts.
Adults and teens who bring in three short book reviews get a local treat and an entrance in a drawing. The teen drawing will be Aug. 25. Grown-ups have until Sept. 1 to turn in their reviews.
St. John Library hours are Mondays 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesdays 3 to 5:30 p.m. and Fridays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 5 p.m.
