Belfry crowns fair’s new addition

Using an Appel family crane, volunteers place the renovated belfry atop the Jones Schoolhouse at the Palouse Empire Fairgrounds Friday evening. The school was donated to the fair this year by the Repp family of east Dusty. A bell donated by the Steigers will ring inside the belfry when construction is complete.
