Last Day at Toccata Blues

Toccata Blues, which opened Jan. 4 after an extensive remodeling of the former commercial printing shop next to the Gazette, closed its doors Friday night after an eight-month run. The restaurant offered a specialty menu, fresh baked breads and rolls and a unique attraction for Colfax, performances by jazz musicians and others, generally on Friday nights.

Terri Guenthner said they decided to close because other family members, who were part of the operation, had landed jobs in Pullman. The original intent was to start the restaurant and eventually turn it over to their children....
