Guenter and Brigitte Scherwinski, Mountain Home, Idaho, spent the weekend with their daughter and family, Angela and Brian Broeckel. They attended their grandson Graham’s LaCrosse-Washtucna football game and the Palouse Empire Fair.

The musical group Cross Country— Linda Hennigar, Bob Davidson and Jerry Martin—will perform Saturday afternoon, Sept. 18, Main Street in St. John during their business promotional days.

Kim and Cindy Pitts were in Boise this weekend to visit with their daughter’s family, Ryan, Jen, Kellen, Becket and Willa Hammons. They helped Becket celebrate his third birthday.

David and Phyllis Stueckle celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary by attending the Palouse Empire Fair and going out to dinner.

Patty Schierman Brady, Sedro Wooley, spent the weekend with Karen Broeckel. The women attended the funeral services for Lora Cummings in Dayton Saturday. Cummings ran the LaCrosse Cafe in the 1950s and was the mother of their former classmate, Carmi Cummings Thompson of Mount Vernon.
