Second half of Oakesdale business incubator now under construction

The second phase in Oakesdale’s business incubator project is underway with construction expected to be finished by the end of the year.

Cost for the second phase is expected to be $36,800, according to city clerk Mary DeGon.

This will be paid with $27,604 from the county .09 economic development fund grant and $9,200 from Oakesdale city coffers.

First Wind, the wind energy company based in Portland, has occupied the first phase of rooms in the incubator since late spring as it pursues the Naff Ridge turbine project.
