The mystery was purchased at the Whitman Hospital Foundation Auction last January and was arranged by physical therapist Eddy Mayo who arranges these events as a side business.
A murder was committed, each participant was assigned a role and dressed in costume, clues were given and puzzles were solved in order to proceed to the next assignment.
Those participating included Mark Vogler as Charles Winemaker, Wendy Cronrath as Marie Baker, Henry Vogler as Two-buck Jacque, Kathy Vogler as Marguerite, Jolene and Kermit Wigen as Dale and Blanche Cutter, Christopher Clausen as Thomas Floose the postman, Cari Thompson as his daughter Claudette Floose and Eddy Mayo as Inspector Payne Inzebut.
The mystery began with breakfast at the Vogler home and proceeded throughout the region from Dusty, to Colfax and Moscow, culminating at the Old Post Office Restaurant where the mystery was solved and the group enjoyed a good dinner.
