Bulldog runner Morgan Willson Tuesday booked a big win in a Bi-County cross country meet over a flat 5K course at Davenport. She led 18 runners with a 18.53 clocking in the girls race. Runners had to cope with a strong wind during the meet.
Taryn Stamper of St. Georges was the number-two finisher for the girls with a 20.04. Katie Largent finished 13th with a 27.57, her best time yet for the distance.
Maxwell Choka of St. Georges again booked a strong win in the varsity boys run with a 16.52.
Finishers for Colfax were Jackson Elfers, 10th at 19.03; Brock Morgan, 17th at 20.11; Cody Wuestney, 19th at 21.13; Brady Cornelius, 21st at 21.47, and Joel Morgan, 26th at 23.02,
Tim Cornelius of Colfax won the junior high race with a 9.59. Also clocking time in the event were Mitch Barney, 11.14; Daniel Thomas, 11.26; Jackson Ross, 13.29 and Brady Wuestney, 14.29.
The Bulldogs and other league teams will race at the St. Georges’ course next Tuesday.
