Kathy Shields and her daughter, Billie Jo Davison, drove to Kirkland Thursday to visit Kathy’s granddaughter, Krista Schultz. Krista has just started a job with the Young Life organization and is an area associate for the Lake Washington Community.
Young Life is an outreach ministry for high school and middle school students. On Thursday evening they attended the Young Life annual fund raising dessert reception which brought together between 350-400 people.
On Friday evening Kathy’s nephew and wife, David and Lisa Nave of Renton, met them for dinner in Kirkland. After a stop at the North Bend Outlet Mall, Kathy and Billie Jo returned home Saturday.
Sprague Little Red Hens Ladies Red Hat Club drove to Spokane Saturday. They had lunch at the Europa and attended the Interplayers production of “39 Steps.” Those in the party were Betty Stone, Nita Polda, Pat Peterson, Diana Cook, Bea Butler, Anita Frederick, Kay Dirks, Shirley Miller and Marcia Landers.
Betty Stone’s grandson, Cody Stuart of Spokane, arrived last week to visit for a couple of days.
Bonnie Swannack helped set up entries at the Washington State Quilt show in Spokane Oct. 15 at the Spokane Interstate Fairground with about 600 entries from many states. Bonnie entered a big quilt, crib quilt, table runner and wall hanging. Sunday she assisted in taking them all down.
Dave and Ginny Rajala, Denny and Linda O’Keefe, Dan and Jean Stromberger and Diane Cook helped serve the Oct. 16 pledge dinner at the Christian School in Edwall.
Recent hunters at the home of Allen and Diane Cook were fortunate to get their deer. Four out of the five hunters hit their marks. Those staying at the Cook’s were Jack and Louise Armstrong Lonnie Willis, Ryan Carter and Tom Haleki, all Tri-Cities.
