Visit the Oakesdale Library to enjoy the recent improvements in the facility and its services. Thanks to the hard work of some library employees and the generosity of the Friends of the Library, the Oakesdale branch received a thorough cleaning, some new furniture, a well-stocked magazine rack and improved seating for public computers and Internet. Patron Claudia Louk says, “These changes give the library a much more tidy appearance overall, and really make it more inviting when you come in!”

Storytime welcomes children ages 1-5 each Wednesday at 12:30. This fall, youngsters are learning about autumn leaves, changing seasons and continuing with learning the letters of the alphabet and the sounds they make.

High School students are invited to join Rebecca M. Carroll, an independent college service planner, for a scholarship workshop Nov. 17 from 7-8 p.m at the Colfax Library. This free workshop will help students and parents understand the financial aid process when planning for college.

Oakesdale Library has many titles available to help with Holiday crafting needs. Library hours are Mondays from 1-6 and Wednesdays from 10:30-2.
