City posts 2011 budget

Colfax has posted its 2011 budget draft for public review. The budget shows an overall plus of almost $26,000 with total revenue projected at $3,059,214 and expenditures at $3,033,287. The city's general fund budget, which covers most operating departments, shows a $966 deficit, the number which was presented to city council members last week when they approved a one percent hike in property tax revenue for next year.

The city projects a gain of $197,977 in cash standing. The city at the start of this year had $1,909,580 cash on hand and the projected cash amount for the start of the next year...
