Police seek information on hit & run

Colfax Police are seeking information on a hit and run accident which left extensive damage to a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe which was legally parked on Canyon Street along the Bank of Whitman. Chief Bill Hickman said the side of the Tahoe sustained extensive damage after it was hit some time between 1:30 and 2 p.m.

Owner Jennifer Broeckel discovered the damage shortly after that time.

Hickman said the extent of damage to the vehicle indicates it could have been hit by a truck or possibly a plow rig. The Tahoe, which has been totaled, was painted white.
