Volleyball players collect awards

Rosalia's Spartan volleyball team had their annual awards dessert Nov. 15 in the school cafeteria. Coach Jennifer Olson presented certificates to jayvee players Hana Sims, Stacey Carrothers, Shannon Carrothers, Sara Fischer, Heather Wilson, Haley Lindgren, Brittaney Goodenow and Mckenna Wiley and Alex Naught who were not present. Coach Suzanne Holling presented the varsity players with their certificates, letter pins and WIAA academic patc recipients were Mckenzie Reddish, Maddy St. John, Hana Sims, Briann Maley, Kristen Paulson, Lucy Irish, Sam Barnes and Haley Danielson. Stats keepers recognized were Sara Drew, Kelsey Lindhag and Emily Danielson.

Special awards were presented to Lucy Irish, leadership award; Briann Maley, most inspirational, and Kristen Paulson, coaches award.

All SE league award went to Briann Maley. A special plaque presentation was made by Mike Day.

Rosalia annual Ladies Christmas Party will be Monday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. at the Rosalia Holy Rosary fellowship hall with door prizes, music and a dessert. Marcy Campbell from Rosalia will be guest speaker, and Julia Hunton will sing. All women from our neighboring communities are invited. Sponsors will be Rosalia Community Churches.

Rosalia United Methodist Church has re-opened the child care center, now called Footprints Child Care Center.

On the afternoon of Halloween the United Methodist Church, Footprints and Pinewood Cottage gathered a little over 100 for a pre- trick-or-treat fun time. Nan and Yosh Konishi supplied the materials to build airplanes, towers, cars.

Rosalia Lions have scheduled a Community Breakfast for Saturday, Dec. 4, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Rosalia United Methodist Church. All proceeds go directly to the Rosalia Food Bank Program.
