Giving tree at LaCrosse

The Giving Tree is up at the TeaPot Cafe. Drop by and pick a tag to help make Christmas brighter for community members in need. There is also a box at the Bank of Whitman for food donations.

Santa will come to town Dec. 11 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. There will be muffins and juice for the children and free pictures with Santa.

The Community Club Christmas board will soon be up.

To sponsor a Christmas greeting requires a $5 donation for individuals, $15 for businesses. Donations may be left at T&S Tire Service.

NHS will sell Verda Bigsby Popcorn Balls at the Christmas Bazaar Dec. 11, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The FFA will sell Christmas trees and poinsettias. The Christmas trees will be in LaCrosse Wednesday.

The DC Kids will sell Christmas wreathes.

LaCrosse Youth Basketball will begin Saturday, Dec. 11. Practice will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Girls, 2nd-6th grade, will practice in LaCrosse. Boys, 2nd-6th grade, will practice in Washtucna. Registration will be at both locations. Game and practice schedules will be handed out.

The December meeting the Lacrosse All Purpose 4H has been changed to next Monday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. in the library.

LaCrosse library is having a book sale in December. All proceeds go to help fund the children programs at the local branch.

The Second Monday Club will meet Dec. 13 at the LaCrosse Library for a Wii dance party.
