Hospital highlights - I Am Concerned

The state’s budget crisis has me concerned. The Great Recession shows few signs of easing and the latest state government revenue projections are dismal. The governor has little choice but to implement a 6.3 percent across the board budget cut for the current fiscal year ending June 30, 2011.

This will impact all state services but the effect on the health of our most vulnerable citizens will be dramatic. The cuts are short-sighted. The cuts will cause suffering. The cuts will cost more in the long run.
